National PE Standards Resources for Teachers and Administrators

SHAPE America’s National Physical Education Standards define what a student should know and be able to do as result of a highly effective physical education program. Educators are encouraged to learn more about the new National Physical Education Standards and how they can be used as the foundation for high-quality physical education instruction that makes a positive difference in the health and well-being of every student.

These standards are flexible enough to allow teachers to adjust their curriculum to meet the needs of their students while providing guidance for teachers in how they can help students learn the skills, knowledge, and reflection that will support them in being physically active for life.
